"I wanted to take a few moments to convey my feelings about Los Willows, the accommodations, the event site, and the staff...my wife and I invited 50 of our family and friends to join us in celebrating the marriage of our daughter. I wanted to tell you about my experience at Los Willows. Ever since she was a little girl, my daughter had always wanted to experience the wedding of a lifetime. So from the day that she first told me this (many years ago) to the day they found your site; I was not sure how I would be able to do that. But then I came to Los WIllows and I was taken aback by the inviting atmosphere that greets you as you look out against the backdrop of the reception area and the gazebo. Then as you look out across the lake I could picture in my minds eye the short trip across the water, father and daughter. All this culminates to a few feet from the gazebo opening where magic begins.
Once you return to reality, you then meet the staff, who are your ambassadors.
Prior to the wedding, I got to meet Bobby, your innkeeper. Bobby was a wonderful influence to a father who is making sure that everything is going well. I was up at the inn pacing back and forth listening to my daughter and her attendants in the salon. Now that is not to say that I was running around with my head cut off. Just that I knew in a few hours everything would need to be just right if this was going to go off without a hitch.
Bobby sensing this pulled me away and we chatted about many things. But above all he was a calming influence. Additionally, throughout my family's stay, Bobby was very pleasant, very respectful, and very accommodating. During that night and in the morning if he could do something to make you feel comfortable and welcomed at the inn, he would do it.
Lisa Marie was very helpful during the early stages of my getting all of the things together. She shuttled my family and me up and back to the inn on several occasions. She is warm and pleasant and sounds happy when you talk to her. Which makes it much better when you are stressed.
Debra was helpful when everything was getting set up. I didn’t have as much contact with her, but of the contact I did have I was happy with her assistance.
I do not know if anyone told you but I planned a surprise for everyone and performed my daughter's marriage ceremony myself. But to have this happen, I needed someone to stand in for me and to make everyone believe that he was going to be the one who would perform the ceremony. With that in mind Marco was chosen and he accepted that role. I spoke to him briefly and explained my plan. He was very accommodating and did a great job.
Gail was a sweetheart. She was very patient with me and was my go-to girl when it came to everything prior, during, and after the wedding. She was very attentive and I definitely got the feeling that I was her only concern. Gail did superbly throughout the night. Whenever I thought something needed tweaking, she was there, whenever something needed to be done I turned around and BAM! There she was standing by waiting for me to give her instructions. In most cases I didn’t even have to say anything because she was already on it. She made my daughter's wedding very successful and fun for everyone.
I would be remiss if I left out one other person on your staff. And that person is Liza Isacsson. Liza, from day one, was a breath of fresh air and a joyous person who seemed to never get flustered. To be sure, she was both a calming influence and the obvious driving force to insure that if there was anything that could go wrong it was headed off at the pass and never allowed to become the proverbial snowball gaining momentum into an avalanche. I could tell that her experience and demeanor allowed her the ability to see above the fray and to provide the confidence within the turmoil of the last months, weeks, and days prior to the event.
When I had a question or a concern she assured me that no matter what, I would not need to worry because she and her team were on the job and we would be the only concern for Los Willows on that day. You should be comforted in the fact that you have chosen the “right” person to be at the helm of the Los Willows Ship. I cannot say enough good things about Liza and her team. So much so that I recommended Los Willows to someone I know and while he was not planning a wedding he did book your Inn for a 25th Anniversary surprise for his wife this week.
Lastly the site, and what a beautiful and inviting site you have. I have gotten nothing but Kudos from everyone who has come up to me to tell me about the wedding. From stem to stern everyone was impressed at how well you have the area laid out, and how serene the area is. I was enthralled with how everything was able to come together and how things just seemed to flow on that day. I was especially excited about the fact that my daughter's wedding would be the first on the new flooring.
By providing the best food, the best site, and the best staff, you have in essence provided the best wedding my daughter could have hoped for and it is something that will be a lasting memory for years to come."
